As parasites crawling over the earth, we can choose just how much blood we’re going to suck from our surroundings. A fungus, a tumor, living in constant shade, suckled by our withering host. Are we content to be a growth on the face of the Earth? Willful expression is a method of processing and purifying the toxins accrued through living in the self-destructive horror that is industrial civilization; a cathartic expelling, a refusal to accept parasitic status and societal conformity. This purified trash, this clean detritus, is our only treasure. Here is an artifact filtered through our mycelium, removing toxins from our collective psyche. A piece of garbage tailor-made for all the creeping fungus; black mold recorded poorly, and crawling up the wall from the darkest corner of the room (until we discover Joy Division and go post-post-punk).
